Starting October 1, 2015, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services no longer requires the additional processing fees required by Public Law 111-230. On August 14, 2010, President Obama signed this law, making some companies pay an additional $2,000 for H1-B and $2,250 for L-1 visas. The law was up for renewal, yet it has not been by Congress.
It was seen as unfair to many, because it only applied to companies with over 50 employees, 50 percent of which needed to be on eith H1-B or L-1 status. We are happy to announce that these companies will no longer have to pay this unnecessary expense.
